Our Manufacturing Capabilities are ISO 9001-2000 Certified. Documented tests of Surge Suppression Incorporated® devices have been performed by numerous entities including Underwriters Laboratories. Surge Suppression Incorporated® devices are appropriately UL1449, UL1283 and CUL Listed as Transient Voltage Surge Suppressors. Our products also carry the CE mark for European markets. They are field proven and are used by organizations large and small, as well as the United States Air Force, United States Navy, and United States Army. ISO 9001: The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) revised the 1994 version of ISO 9001 standard. The standard is called ISO 9000: 2000 which was released on December 15th, 2000.
Why are international quality assurances necessary? Standardization ensures a set of industry-wide criteria that apply consistently to material classification, product manufacture and service provision. International Standards provide a common reference point to facilitate trade and transfer of technology between suppliers and their customers.
These days a manufacturer's guarantee of meeting an intended level of quality assurance is no longer enough. ISO 9000 standards are third party specifications that provide a reliable total quality management framework for buyers who wish to ensure that a given product, service, or process meets the intended quality standard.
